Where are we?

Our school is located in Mourenx, in the South-west of France in the “Pyrénées-Atlantiques”. It’s called “Collège Pierre Bourdieu”. It has about 400 students who have been studying or will study there during 4 years, between the primary school and the High School. Students come from Mourenx and also from other villages around.

Our city is one of the youngest of France, it’s been created in 1958 because hydrocarbons were found in Lacq, a village near Mourenx, and the employees who will work in the factories had to be housed. About 7500 people live in Mourenx. It’s quite cool to live here because it’s between the sea and the mountain: you can go to the beach and surf during the summer (Yeah, the water is warm by here during the summer :P) and go to the mountain and ski during the winter. Just got to drive about 1 hour, and you’re arrived :D
